Dear all,

As you are likely already aware, the prospect of a snap general election seems to be growing greater every day. As a result we are getting ourselves organised and we need your help!

We are being more ambitious this time than ever before. Public awareness about the climate emergency is higher than ever, Brexit has shaken up the political landscape leaving many traditional Labour or Conservative voters feeling politically homeless and the impacts of a decade of austerity have left many feeling disenfranchised by the Tories. The time is right for the Green Party and Green policies. We are aiming to run a vibrant campaign and to experiment with some new and exciting tactics like events and peoples' assemblies. We are hugely excited about what this campaign might lead to but we need your help!

To make our campaigning work as effective as possible we will be organising into a Campaign Team made up of a central team and a series of sub-groups working on particular activities such as fundraising, communication, outreach/support and data:

Taking an active part in a general election campaign is not only amazing fun and a brilliant experience,  it is also a great opportunity to learn and practice really useful skills such as research, organisation, communication, data management, events (the list goes on!) that will be really helpful in other areas of life and in our future local election campaigns. Anyone can take part, whether you have 10 minutes, 10 hours or 10 days to spare. No prior experience or skills needed and no need to stick to one area. Our campaign team will be organised but also fluid and fun.
